Your Online Submission and Changes

  • Enter your ad directly into the online Insertion Form.
  • Please be sure that it is completely correct before hitting the "submit" button.
  • Contact us using our customer service form if you have difficulty making a change using the Employer Dashboard or if your ad needs to be removed before the end of the listing period.
    Please note that you WILL NOT receive a refund if your ad is removed before the end of the listing period.
  • Plase use the provided WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) to edit your content before submission.

Confirmations

An automatic email notification will be sent to the e-mail address used in the login to place the ad. This will inform you that your ad is submitted successfully, and will include a link to a receipt for your credit card payment. You should print out a copy of this receipt for your records.

Tear sheets (or copies) of ads placed online are available only for the length of time an ad is online — 2 or 4 weeks. We encourage all employers to print out a copy of each ad for their records, while the ad is online.

Creating a Jobs Online Account

Everyone is invited to post a position. Nonmembers can create an account that will enable them to post a job.

An account gives you access to the Employer Dashboard, stores your ad confirmation and is a link to your payment receipt sent to the email address used in the login process.

Posting Rates and Tips

Advertise your job openings on Jobs Online, APA's job board, and find applicants quickly. Reach a large national audience that includes all types of planning specialists.

Rates and Payment

All Jobs Online ads must be prepaid by MasterCard, Visa, American Express, or Discover. We do not offer an alternative payment method.

Featured Jobs

Highlight your job posting by choosing a Featured Job. A Featured Job includes your logo, social media links, and featured placement on list of jobs.

From the options on the Employer Dashboard, select "Featured Job" and be prepared to upload a logo:

  •  File types allowed: .jpg .jpeg, or .png.

  • Size limit: 1 megabyte.

  • For best results: Use a square logo (if available).

Ad Tips

Keep your ad short to make it easily readable on a computer screen.

Include the position title, salary (if appropriate for you), position description, education, and experience requirements. Also: a contact name, address, phone and fax numbers, e-mail address (if available), and a deadline for applications, if you have one.

Limit your use of abbreviations to commonly understood professional terms. Enter complete information in the job description field.

Jobs Online is updated continuously during the day, Monday through Friday. Ads are posted within 24 hours of receipt, once payment is approved and ads are checked for typos and minor editorial changes.
